I have this lamp and, yes, it is worth every penny. It is even more stunning in real life than in the picture. I hope you achieve your dream and can possess this lamp. Some good news for you: It's the #1 selling item from Maitland Smith, so don't worry about it going away.

HI, Angela. Thanks for the nice comment. A far as I know there is no Austen manuscript called CONSTANCE. I made that one up.

I just finished reading this book, which was reccomended to me by a friend, and I loved it! I was wondering though, is there actually a Jane Austen manuscript of Constance?

I love Jane Bites Back!! I can't wait for Jane Goes Batty to come out. And I completely agree: she could totally kick Bella Swann's butt. In fact, she could kick that repulsive little Edward Cullen's butt too.

Thanks for such an enjoyable read!

I was wandering through the bookstore the other day when I stumbled into this book (quite literally actually- I'm a huge klutz). I bought it on a whim and started reading it yesterday while I was on my lunch. by the time my next group of students walked in I was sad that I had to put it down. I stayed at work, not wanting to wait until I drove home to finish it. I was all excited when I saw the blurb about the second book at the end. Then I was very sad when i realized that the next one wouldn't be out for quite a while...

Needless to say, I loved it. I've read a lot of Austen and the Bronte sisters work but didn't know much about their personal lives (I do now- I spent the evening researching). I loved the I will be passing this off to all my literary friends and my less serious vampire obsessed ones. I suppose I will have to satisfy myself with real Austen until your next book comes out ;)

Mike, that audio sample is delicious! I've already read the book (and enjoyed it immensely) but I think I might have to get the audio version for an upcoming road trip.

I know how that feels. I have a cold, too. I went through an entire roll of toilet paper in two days just for the runny nose. How is it possible that you have that much fluid in your head?! One of life's many mysteries.
Anyway, I recently read your older book Suicide Notes by recommendation from a friends, and man, it was an amazing read. The whole ballerina thing was the highlight of me and my friend's jokes at school for weeks. Though, when we mentioned it WE were the only ones laughing, and the other kids looked at us like we were insane. Ahem.
Anyway, I plan on reading more of your books very soon, right after I finish the infinite stack of books on my desk. Which keeps growing rather than shrinking as I read... I blame my addiction of ordering books from the library everyday and borrowing them from friends. FML.

I freaking LOVED this book! It was so nicely written and had fun twists to it! I cannot wait for the next one! I have to say I loved the gay factor thrown into it! My boyfriend and I enjoyed reading it and I have passed it along to my bestfriend who has finished half of it!

It is New Years Day and I just finished Jane Bites Back. I got my hands on it Wednesday evening and I read it straight through. I laughed out loud reading it and I intend to recommend it to my Janeite friends. I especially liked the literary references and jokes sprinkled throughout the book. Making another 19th century writer the villian was lots of fun, particularly because she was a nasty piece of work when it came to Jane. I am looking forward to the second book in this series.
